budsite’ producer, but the Island Sweet Skunk will turn it into a baseball bat cola-producing
machine!
Blurple Romulan is one of our own hybrids of two classic Canadian strains; (Purple) Romulan
from Next Generation Seeds x Blueberry.
I grew out a few of these and was absolutely astonished at the baseball bats they produced at
the top of a long main stem when not trained or pinched in any way. And this is important to
note, because now as an update in 2024 after a couple years playing with the Romulan, this
seems to be the defining characteristic…a really long stem. It makes sense since they named it
after some alien race flying around in spaceships?
My goal in not training or pinching them was to see how much of the Romulan structure was
maintained in the cross with Blueberry, which likes to produce more branching. Not only was I
amazed at the giant colas produced, but also by the unique trichomes. The dominance of the
Romulan ‘stretch with small buds’ was shown, but also what was shown is what makes Romulan
unique! The trichomes themselves look like alien structures! The sugar leaves were incredibly
sugary, and there seems to be a unique leaf shape that almost looks like the downward pointing
claw of a wolverine.
The plants were an intense black hue of purple, and demonstrated a very unique leaf structure
on purple stalks. This was pollinated by my much loved reversed Island Sweet Skunk, the exact
one I have used for decades for commercial purposes prior to legalization. The Island Sweet
Skunk add’s the quality of filling out those long terminal buds and lateral branches as well. The
USA has recently discovered Romulan with its popularity soaring…but this is the original
Canadian deal. I got my Romulan Breeder’s Pack from NGS back in 2019-2020.
This is a trifecta of 3 of Canada’s most legendary strains combined. Romulan + Blueberry +
