Selective backcrossing up to the F4 generation resulted in a fully automatic Blueberry. After this, the F4 is self-pollinated to create the F5 seeds.
The Blueberry genetics used originated from our own gene bank. This extensive genetic collection goes back to the time when we collaborated with DJ Short, the original breeder of the Blueberry strain, among others. At the time, Dutch Passion worked closely with DJ Short to introduce the Blueberry strain to the European market and we were lucky enough to include these original genetics in our collection.
