Genetics and Origin: Pure Michigan Autoflower is an indica-dominant strain, derived from the renowned Pure Michigan photoperiod by Thug Pug Genetics. This autoflowering adaptation was achieved by crossing selected F2 females with a Crinkle Cut auto male, crafted by Twisted Tree Autoflowers. The result is a strain that maintains the essence of its Michigan roots while offering the convenience of autoflowering.
Appearance: The plants of Pure Michigan Autoflower are medium-sized, adorned with dense, frosty nugs that sparkle with trichomes. The buds carry a deep green color with hints of purple, especially under cooler temperatures, reflecting the natural beauty of Michigan’s landscapes. The structure of the plant is robust, with tight, well-formed flowers that are visually appealing.
Flavor and Aroma: Pure Michigan Autoflower boasts a complex flavor profile, featuring sweet and slightly spicy nutty chocolate notes, accompanied by a creamy vanilla exhale. The aroma mirrors this with a sweet mocha coffee overtone, layered with earthy pungency and a hint of spicy nuttiness, encapsulating the essence of Michigan’s diverse seasons.
Effects: This strain offers indica-dominant effects that are deeply relaxing without leading to burnout, even after prolonged use. Consumers note an uplifting sense of focus and creativity initially, which seamlessly transitions into a calming body high, perfect for unwinding or as a sleep aid. It’s celebrated for its therapeutic potential in managing anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
Growth Characteristics: Pure Michigan Autoflower is easy to grow, showing resilience in Michigan’s early spring weather, including nights in the 40s to 50s Fahrenheit. It has a seed to harvest time of about 10-14 weeks, with plants capable of producing 3-4 ounces. Its autoflowering nature makes it ideal for growers looking for simplicity and speed without compromising on quality.
Yield: Expect a yield of 3-4 ounces per plant, which is quite impressive for an autoflower, focusing on quality over quantity with its dense, resinous buds.
Cultivation Tips:
-
Given its density, good air flow is crucial to prevent mold; consider spacing plants well if growing indoors.
-
It’s adaptable to early spring conditions in Michigan, but ensure soil warmth for optimal growth.
-
Light feeding is advised as this strain doesn’t require heavy nutrients to thrive.
