Watering Diagnostic
Over and underwatering look almost identical. Answer a few questions and find out which one you're dealing with — and exactly how to fix it.

How are the leaves drooping?
This is the most important clue. Look at how the leaves themselves are hanging.
✓😞 Heavy Droop — Whole Leaf
Entire leaves hang down limply, including the petiole (leaf stem). Leaves feel thick, puffy, or heavy. Plant looks exhausted.
✓🥀 Crispy / Wilting Droop
Leaves curl inward, edges feel thin and papery. Leaf tips may be crispy. Plant looks like it's shriveling, not just sagging.
✓🦅 Clawing Down at Tips
Leaf tips curl/claw downward specifically. Leaves are dark green. The "claw" is distinct from a full droop.
✓🌿 No Drooping
Leaves look normal structurally but something else seems off (yellowing, stunted growth, etc.)

What does the soil feel like?
Stick your finger 2 inches into the soil. What do you feel?
✓🌊 Wet / Heavy
Soil is damp, dark, and the pot feels heavy when lifted. Water may pool on top.
✓💧 Moist — Slightly Damp
Soil feels slightly damp 1–2 inches down but not wet. Normal moisture level.
✓🏜️ Dry / Light
Top 2+ inches are dry. Pot feels noticeably light when you pick it up. Soil may pull away from pot edges.
✓🥥 I'm in Coco / Hydro
Not in soil. Growing in coco coir, DWC, or another hydro setup.
